Which Indian giant – Reliance, recently acquired a majority stake in the e-pharma site Netmeds. This deal happened just days after e-commerce giant Amazon launched an online drug sales service in India.
Netmeds is an e-pharma portal that offers authenticated prescription and over the counter medicine along with other health products in India. It was formally known as Vitalic Health Private Limited. Reliance has acquired 100% equity ownership of all Netmeds’ subsidiaries for INR 620 Cr ($83 Mn).
