Former Spain and Real Madrid goalkeeper – Iker Casillas, has recently announced his retirement from football at the age of 39.

He is a former Spanish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Iker is popularly dubbed “San Iker” for his ability to produce spectacular saves, Casillas started his career with the Real Madrid youth team, subsequently getting into the primary team in 1999. He became the youngest goalkeeper to play and win the Champions League finals, at the age of 19.

On 4 August 2020, Casillas officially announced his retirement from professional football. His retirement ends a 22-year playing career, which saw him win over 20 major honors, including five LaLiga titles, three Champions League titles, 167 caps for Spain, two European Championships and one World Cup.
